Senior issues are important to me for three important reasons. Most importantly, I am a baby boomer, and will soon be a senior citizen. So I'm extremely interested in issues that concern older people. In addition, I am one of several family members that has provided care for my grandparents. I was sensitive to senior issues even when I was younger, because of the influence of my grandparents. Finally, I have worked as an Adult Protective Service Investigator for the past 18 years. My concern for elderly, vulnerable people flows quite naturally as a result of my work.

Much of what I write about will be a reflection of a combination of what I've learned and observed from my grandparents, my own life, and working as an Adult Protective Service Investigator. I'll also write about current events. If you have questions or ideas you would like for me to explore, then write and let me know. This is new to me and I'm open to ideas. I also want this to be interesting and relevant to readers, so let me know what you'd like to see. I welcome any feedback you have for what I write- feedback will only help me to get better.

I'm excited to have an opportunity to share some of what I have learned and am still learning about senior issues every day. It is my hope that you will be informed, educated, and even entertained. Thanks again for signing up!
