I am a lover and avid reader of children’s books. I have bookshelves over flowing with children’s books. When neighborhood children or my grandchildren come to visit I always send them home with a book. I love to see them go through the shelves to find just what they can imagine reading that very night. I love the excitement of being lost in the world of a story, or finding myself on an adventure, holding a creepy tarantula, or having a hamster driving a train set.

Anything goes- from horse stories to ballerinas, counting books to adventure stores, poetry, sports, non-fictions and all sorts of books. I want to be able to share this excitement with you.

I hope this newsletter will provide you with tools and inspiration, food for thought, and present you with some ideas and help to get your child reading with you. I will remind you of the importance of reading aloud to your child- a fact that we need to be reminded of now and then- and it just doesn’t matter how old your child is.
