Greetings to all Blues and Jazz readers!
Sue here, the new editor for Blues & Jazz at BellaOnline.
You can read all about me in my bio, but honestly, the main thing you need to know is that I *love* Blues & Jazz – old and new – and I am really excited and honored to be involved in representing such extremely cool and important music.
I will never pretend to know everything, (I’m good, but I’m not *that* good!) but I can promise that if there is anything you are curious about or would like to see covered here, I will try my best to find out more and serve it up for you. (Research is a very happy place for me!) I pride myself too on being open, so feel free to share your thoughts with me.
Consider signing up for the Blues & Jazz newsletter! You’ll get short bi-weekly updates of what’s hot here and the latest features. Remember: at BellaOnline, your email will always be safe. We will never sell your address and your privacy is always protected. You can subscribe simply by typing your email address into the newsletter box located on this page. A test message will be sent to you shortly after subscribing which needs to be accepted. If you do not receive this message, please check your spam filters and be sure they are set to allow mail from BellaOnline
This is also the ideal spot to explore that question I often hear: “I’ve heard some blues/jazz – and I liked it – but what else would I listen to? I wouldn’t know where to start.”
You’ll get lots of recommendations here at Blues & Jazz both from me and from other visitors. There’s also a Blues & Jazz forum, so check it out and see what’s happening there. It’s fun to learn something new and meet other people with similar (excellent!) tastes in music – plus we’ll all benefit from pooling information. In my experience, the world of music enthusiasts just loves sharing what they know.
You can look under my Subject listings to get a feeling for where I am heading with articles. As well, I can tell you that I will be doing: latest CD releases, book reviews, concert reviews/upcoming tour dates, short bio pieces, a look backwards to the history (nothing heavy, no worries) festivals and where to go for live music, interviews, plus anything current that I find out along the way. My aim is to give both Blues and Jazz the same coverage whenever possible.
Thanks for visiting,
Sue
