About the BellaOnline Urban Legends Editor

Hi and welcome to Bellaonline, the Urban Legends site. My name is Mary Beth and I will be your guide to everything that is just a little “too unbelievable.” I am excited about this opportunity to get to know other fans of Urban Legends. Walk with me as we carefully navigate our way along the twisting pathways between fact and fiction.
I have always been fascinated by Urban Legend stories. Ever since my first can of Coke and bag of Poprocks dare. Since then I have challenged everything that seemed too good to be true, and just a little too unbelievable. I am always searching for the Facts behind the Fiction. I yearn to understand why Urban Legend stories are so deeply engrained in our cultures and how they seem to withstand the tests of time.
I try to be a no-nonsense writer who will present each Urban Legend in such a way to allow you to make your own decisions about the truth behind each story. I plan to help you analyze current and classic Urban Legend talks –making sense of the warnings and life lessons they are designed to teach us. But I hope to do a little entertaining as well. Also alerting you when possible to the latest social media Urban Legends.
In past years I have written for the Bellaonline Hunting site but I had to take a break for personal reasons. I am now back and raring to go. I know that the Urban Legend site will help me continue to hone my writing skills and disciplines. Giving me more of the experience and confidence that I need to become a published author.
I currently live on a small ranch near Wichita, KS with my dear husband and son and a menagerie of animals. I am a stay-at-home homeschool mom, Alpaca rancher, chicken farmer and honeybee wrangler. Author of educational honeybee stories for children and Wild Weird Steampunk fiction.
