Teaching and sharing information are my passions. I have enjoyed sharing knowledge in a manner that others can understand for over 20 years for children and adults. One day, I decided I was tired of having to answer no that I was not certified when parents inquired about my background. Today, I hold four teaching certifications:

Math 4-8 (Texas)
Math 5 -9 (Florida)
EC-4th Generalist (Texas)
PK3 - 3rd grade (Florida)

….and a Master´s of Education - Curriculum & Instruction (Math 6-8) from American College of Education.

My work experience covers grades K-college. I recently served as a Regional Math Coach (Elementary) for Polk County Public Schools. In addition, I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade, worked as a Math Interventionist (grades 2 – 8) for public school districts, Title I schools, private and faith-based schools, as well as tutored elementary, middle school, high school, and adults since 1997. Many of my students received commendations on standardized math tests.
Since 2009, the opportunity to teach a variety of online math courses (face-to-face, online and hybrid formats) at a community college such as Pre-algebra, Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences has been my delight.

Besides teaching math and serving as an online math editor for BellaOnline, I have reviewed a textbook, Elementary Algebra, for OpenStax, a nonprofit ed-tech initiative based at Rice University.

Moreover, I enjoy conducting professional developments for teachers, teaching ESL at VIPKID at , tutoring online, reading, crafting, and traveling.
