About the BellaOnline Creativity Editor
Jana Taylor
Greetings from the Land of Oz! My name is Jana (rhymes with banana). :) Most of my adult life
has been spent in telecommunications industry, although I did take a few years off
to help my dad paint houses (story idea!). It sure wasn’t decorative painting, which is much more
fun.
I first put pencil to paper at 8 penning my first book about my aunt’s dog and the “pen” has never
stopped. I’ve written poetry, fiction, articles, process manuals and technical documentation.
My imagination is in hyper-drive, most of the time. Sometimes, I have to shut it down which isn’t
easy. Ideas come to me in the strangest ways, under the weirdest circumstances and at the oddest
hours. They fly at me from all angles (I put them in notebook jail so they don’t escape).
Old abandoned buildings cry out to me to take their picture (haven’t learned to do that yet); more
story fodder. I enjoy antiquing, crocheting, belly dancing, animals, growing things, cooking,
Steampunk and did I mention...
Believe it or not…I used to get caught daydreaming in class.
