Korie Beth Brown, Ph.D.
What is it about California that so engages the imagination? As a lifelong resident and an avid traveler, I can assure you that this state is indeed larger than life! There´s so much that´s famous -- from the cliffs at Big Sur to the Hollywood Walk of Fame -- but there´s also so much that almost escapes the public eye. Time to make known all the gloriousness of this state!
I have lived up and down the coast, in Oakland, Santa Barbara, and the Los Angeles area. Over the course of my life, I have earned a BA in creative writing, several advanced degrees, and a Ph.D. in Education -- all from California colleges and universities. I have also travelled extensively throughout the state, both to visit cherished friends and to explore the natural and man-made attractions that this state offers. As a history buff, I have read extensively about the amazing adventures that California has given in the last five centuries. And, as a proud member of the diverse cultures that this state nourishes, I spend my days thinking, acting, and being Californian.
Thank you for allowing me to share my love of all things California with you! I love California, its history, its culture, and its natural beauty, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge with my readers.
