The Lufthansa Heist 
It was on this day in crime history, that on December 11 in 1978, members of the Lucchese crime family, allegedly pulled off the crime of the century back then when the Lufthansa Cargo building at JFK airport in New York, was ripped off for six million dollars in cash and jewels.
