As we go through our daily lives dealing with all of the ordinary rituals and routines that is required and make up our everyday existence, there is a lot of issues that we also must deal with. This can include poor customer service, negative work environments, toxic relationships, prejudices, health issues and financial stress to name a few. Sometimes these things can seem to pile on top of us one after another and cause us to become bitter and say or do things that we shouldn’t that is not representative of being a follower of Jesus Christ or walking In love. It is in these times we have to rely on the basic principles found in the Bible.

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Reading, reciting and memorizing this scripture can pull our minds out of a negative place and put us back into a place of thankfulness for the things that are right in our lives. Being thankful at all times for God’s love, mercy and grace is our way of coping and overcoming situations that we have no control of. We must always acknowledge that God is in control.

Remember to stand strong on Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen

We must remember these things in our daily walk of obedience to the Word.

Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the LORD.

If we are able to keep these basic scriptures and principles as a foundation for our daily actions and reactions, we can live in an attitude and atmosphere of love, respect and expectation of God’s presence in every part of our life and He is working out everything for our good. We might not know what tomorrow or the next minute will bring but we can have inner peace knowing that God is in control.
