I hadn’t paid much attention to Southern Charm until this past spring, when I actually started watching some episodes and wondering to myself, WHERE HAVE I BEEN? This show has everything! A crazy, sinister romance, plenty of drama and hooking up, highbrow dinners and balls, and a salty good ‘ole boys club to boot.

The most interesting part of the show to me is Kathryn and Thomas Ravenel’s crazy romance. Somehow that relationship spawned two adorable children and it’s been non stop drama ever since. It’s a rather sad situation to see, seeing it all play out on television with the custody battles and drama. The worst part is the addition of Ashley Jacobs, Thomas’s ridiculous gold digger new girlfriend. Her horrible remarks to Kathryn about her children were just cruel and awful and solidified what kind of a person she is. I hope Thomas dumps her and she has to crawl back to California.

That brings us to Thomas. He’s always been a ladies man, but the rape allegations about him have been horrible and truly awful if true. If they are proven true he will most definitely be off next season I am sure and good riddance. If he is allowed back, things will never be the same as his allegations were very serious and should give anyone a second’s pause,

The true shining star has been Kathryn who has made a really triumphant return, and she’s now my personal favorite on the show. Despite everything she has suffered she’s really made quite the turnaround and now even has 50/50 custody of the children. That warms my cold heart. I am definitely going to make this show my number one to watch from here on out!
