Holiday Shopping for a Book Lover

Holiday Shopping for a Book Lover
Do you have an avid reader or bookworm to shop for this year and you are not quite sure what to get for them? Here are some suggestions to get ideas rolling in your head!

Book Lights
My first recommendation is some type of book light. I love ones that clip right on the book so you can read in bed or even in the car while traveling at night.

I like this book light because of the flexible neck. It has a LED light bulb. These are supposed to last a really long time.

Lap Desks
Lap desks are perfect for people who can not sit and support the weight of the book in their hands. A lap desk would provide a place to rest the book and reduce strain on wrists and elbows. Here are 2 ideas.

Bags!!
I love getting canvas tote bags to carry my books in. I communte via the busline and sometimes my books will not fit into my purse. Bags are always an excellent idea. I suggestion buying a book or two to add to the bag for a gift idea. A bag should be easy to pick out especially if you know the personality and likes of the person you are buying for. Here are some ideas.

Light Blankets
A light fleece blanket or decorative throw blanket is a great idea to throw over your lap and snuggle up with a good book! And you can find them for a pretty cheap price as well!

Warm Drinks
Hot tea, coffee, or hot chocolate is nice to have next to you while reading a good book. Why not find a sampler if you are not sure what flavor(s) to get?

Kindle

The newest book reading fad is electronic book readers like Kindle. I love my Kindle Paperwhite. It makes borrowing books from the library so east. I like the idea of the space saving this provides if you can't find room to store books but at the same time, there is nothing like the smell of a book!
