Brothers Jack and Joe Noonan of Ole Planters Restaurant in Hannibal, Missouri have shared many stories of their paranormal experiences with me. Recently, Joe talked to me about an experience he and his wife had endured in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Jack's encounter took place in Antigua.

The downtown area of Quincy, Illinois, located right on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River, was just starting to grow and thrive when rumors of a ghost dressed in white caused locals to fear for their lives.

Investigations conducted at the abandoned Prairie View Rest Home in NE Missouri have revealed the sounds of footsteps on the second and third floors, old-fashioned music playing and a variety of other noises.

The State Theater was designed in 1935 by Erle Stillwell, son of Hannibal, Missouri's notorious murder victim Amos Stillwell. The State Theater closed the year that Erle passed away. Years later during a renovation period, paranormal activity was observed. Does his spirit haunt the old building?

In the spring of 1890, a young man confessed to St. Louis authorities that he had murdered a fellow years previously. He was relieved to get the confession out as he said he had been haunted by the "white face" of his victim appearing to him nightly with "blood trickling" down his face.

During the autumn of 1923, the home of Emmett Swisher and his family of Philadelphia, Missouri was assaulted with a barrage of poltergeist activity nightly for several months.
